history

The first meetings of leaders of female scout organizations go back to 1948, when the "International Catholic Conference of Scouts" was founded. In 1953 a separate secretariat was set up for the Girl Scouts, from which the initiative arose to set up a conference specifically for Girl Scouts. In 1960 the secretariat joined the WAGGGS as an employee and in 1965 21 female scout associations united to form the “International Catholic Conference of Girl Scouts”. In 1964 the ICCG-CICG declared its full membership of the WAGGGS. In 1968 the first general conference was held, in which 17 regional associations took part. In 1974, the conference passed a revised statute that took into account the results of the Second Vatican Council and was clearly given liberal principles. She also accepted the "Catholic Charter of Boy Scouts," approved by the Holy See in 1977. The CICG-ICCG was eventually recognized by the Pontifical Council for the Laity as an international association of believers under papal law and included in the official list of associations of believers .
