history
The fire brigade museum in Schwerin was opened in April 2009. The hall at the television tower , which was built in 1977 as a multi-purpose hall , was among other things a venue for concerts, cultural events, trade fairs and conferences and could hold up to 2500 people. The starting point of the International Fire Brigade Museum was the State Fire Brigade Museum Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Meetzen, a district of Holdorf near Schwerin. The exhibits were relocated in spring 2009.
