In addition, the editorial team published a book program, including the series interstellarum Astro-Praxis with instructions for amateur astronomers.

interstellarum was founded in 1994 as a magazine for deep-sky observation by Jürgen Lamprecht, Ronald Stoyan and Klaus Veit. Interstellarum was published quarterly up to issue 19. Issue no. 20 saw a reorientation towards all areas of amateur astronomy. Since then, interstellarum has been published every two months with increasing success and has also been available in magazine stores since 2004. In addition to Ronald Stoyan, Dr. Frank Gasparini, Daniel Fischer and Paul Hombach on the editorial team.

The interstellarum editorial team also announced the astrophotographer of the year photo competition every year , with more than 1400 submissions for the 2013 competition.

At the end of 2014, a successful crowdfunding for a restart with the magazine's Startnext platform was initiated. With more than 125,000 euros in support, it is one of the most successful crowdfunding in the German-speaking print sector. After four issues up to number 100 had appeared in 2015, the paper was continued from the beginning of 2016 to the end of 2018 under the new name Adventure Astronomy .
