Startnext is a German crowdfunding platform for the financing of ideas, projects and start-ups . According to the commercial branch service für-Gründer.de, the platform is the market leader in Germany.

history

Startnext was founded in September 2010 by Denis Bartelt and Tino Kreßner in Dresden. Since then, another location has been opened in Berlin . The company has been a certified B corporation since 2016 .

model

The project initiator describes his idea on the platform. In addition, he sets a funding target (more precisely, amount of money), a term for the campaign and consideration for his supporters. These can get these considerations such as B. select the finished product or support the idea with a free amount of money. The project initiator only receives the money if the funding goal is achieved within the specified campaign time - if not, it goes back to the supporters. Startnext is financed by the voluntary commission of project initiators and supporters.

In 2017, the company achieved a turnover of 1,154,478 euros; by the end of 2019, over 75 million euros had been collected through crowdfunding.
