plant
PeterLicht presents his work in different formats. Pop music has been on recordings since his first EP 6 songs , which he published under his real name Meinrad Jungblut in 2000.
Preceding his third album Songs from the End of Capitalism (published on Motor Music , produced by Jochen Naaf ), his book Wir wird siegen was released in March 2006 . Book from the end of capitalism ( Blumenbar Verlag), a collection of stories, poems, scraps of diaries, slogans, song texts and drawings. In addition, the 2003 theater project brought Karoshi . Death due to reworking at the Münchner Kammerspiele PeterLicht's music on the theater stage for the first time. In 2006 the director Christiane Pohle presented the world premiere of Wir wird siegen. And that is just the beginning of the Münchner Kammerspiele, a piece based on the music and lyrics by PeterLicht.
Until March 2006, neither photos nor other biographical details were known. PeterLicht made his first public live appearance for the presentation of his book at the Leipzig Book Fair , and in September 2006 he started his first live tour. Still, he declined to have photos taken or to appear on television. During an appearance with his band at Harald Schmidt on May 18, 2006, only his body, not his face, was filmed. In 2007 PeterLicht received the 3sat Prize and the Audience Prize at the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition for his text The story of my assessment at the beginning of the third millennium . When he was reading his text, he was only filmed from behind at his request, and at the award ceremony he was represented.
In October 2007 PeterLicht played in the Hamburger Schauspielhaus at the start of his 7-city tour of Germany, which took him to the radio show SWR Literatur in the foyer in Mainz, where, in addition to the conversation with PeterLicht, there were three live titles. In September 2008 the album Melancholie und Gesellschaft was released , on which PeterLicht can be heard for the first time with a band.
From January 24th to March 8th, 2009 PeterLicht organized the festival of the invisible people in the Münchner Kammerspiele , in which u. a. Concerts, plays and readings took place. The central theater play, Rooms Rooms , was staged by SE Struck (co-director PeterLicht) and is based on both his lyrics and his story, as I see it at the beginning of the third millennium . In 2010 he edited Molière's comedy Der Geizige on behalf of the Berlin Maxim Gorki Theater , its new version was played there from February to April.
In October 2011, PeterLicht's fifth album The End of the Complaint came out a year late. The FAZ reviewer described the release concert in Cologne's Cafe Wahlen as reminiscent of Niklas Luhmann's system theory. The song poet and social critic PeterLicht has undergone an exciting, self-reflective change over the years.
Because his record company no longer wanted to finance a new album, PeterLicht chose to use the crowdfunding platform Startnext . In this way, around 19,500 euros had been collected by April 2014. The first result is the live album Lob Der Reality , which was released on the Staatsakt label. On April 14, 2016, PeterLicht's second Molière overwriting, Der Menschen Feind, premiered at Theater Basel . Since March 2016 he has been writing the column Praise of Reality for the Süddeutsche Zeitung .
In October 2018 his sixth studio album When we are all different was released on the Hamburg label Mural Records .
