The Intoxicados (The Poisoned) were an Argentine rock band from Buenos Aires . She is known for her mix of different styles such as punk rock , blues and hip hop .
Band history
After Pity the Viejas Locas had left his previous band, he founded together with the Abel Meyer, Burbujas Pérez and Peri Rodríguez, all also former members of the Viejas Locas , towards the end of 2000 in Barrio Comandante Luis Piedrabuena in Villa Lugano the Intoxicados . Jorge Rossi and Felipe Barrozo soon joined the project and in mid-2001 the octet was completed for the time being with the recording of Fabio Cuevas and Víctor Djamkotchian.
Initially, the group only played in front of friends, but the first major performance with 2,500 spectators came on May 26, 2001, when the band performed their first own compositions as well as classics from the time of the Viejas Locas . Her first CD ( Buen Día , “good day”) came out in autumn . At that time, the Intoxicados were a rock band that also used harmonica and saxophone. When they began to perform individual hip-hop songs at concerts, this caused surprise and astonishment in the audience. In 2003 the long player No es sólo rock and roll (“It's not just rock and roll”) was released, the title of which points to the musical change. On this CD, the band began to mix the styles of reggae , funk , ballad , blues , punk rock , rock and roll and hip-hop in their songs to their characteristic. For the time being, the last album of the Intoxicados is El exilio de las Especies . At the Cosquín Rock 2009 festival , Pity announced that the Intoxicados were taking a break. Since then, the former Viejas-Locas members have dedicated themselves to their band from before.
