The "European Payment Report" (EPR) provides figures on bad debts and delays. The results of the report are collected in spring each year. The EPR documents the development of pan-European payment behavior. In order to reflect developments, Intrum continuously supplements the EPR with new questions about international economic life and other countries. The current EPR from 2016 covers 29 European countries and, like its predecessors, can be downloaded free of charge from the company's website.

The EPR also forms the basis for the country-specific "Country Payment Report Germany" that Intrum regularly creates.

Following an initiative, the company set up a foundation on December 12, 2011 to contribute to responsible credit and payment behavior. The foundation is managed under the legal umbrella of the Catholic Wilhelm Emmanuel von Ketteler Foundation, a community foundation for the promotion of charitable and social work in the diocese of Mainz . With the Justitia Debt Counseling Foundation, the provider of credit management services supports the debt counseling and insolvency office of the Caritasverband Darmstadt e. V. and supports their prevention work. Intrum Justitia GmbH works exclusively with the generated interest income , so that the share capital of 25,000 euros remains untouched.

criticism

The company Intrum Justitia has come under fire on various occasions in Switzerland because the amounts demanded by the company from the debtors are not legally enforceable. This concerns damage caused by delay according to Art. 106 OR, which is requested, as well as legal advice costs. These costs are legally controversial and the company Intrum Justitia demands them anyway. By law, these costs do not have to be paid by the debtor, although Intrum Justitia requires this. Only the 5% default interest is legally payable. There were also various lawsuits, according to which collection proceedings were opened against the wrong people because of research errors.
