Inxuba Yethemba ( English Inxuba Yethemba Local Municipality ) is a local community in the Chris Hani district of the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa . The seat of the local government is in Cradock . Mayor is Raymond Zenzile Shweni.

The community name is an isiXhosa term for "fish of hope". The word Inxuba is derived from the name of the Fish River that flows through Cradock. Yethemba was added to add something positive to the name.

In 2011 the community had 65,560 inhabitants. Of these, 56.2% were black, 32.2% colored and 10.5% white. The first language was 48.9% IsiXhosa , 43.6% Afrikaans and 3% English.
