Sakhisizwe ( English Sakhisizwe Local Municipality ) is a local municipality in the Chris Hani district of the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa . The seat of the municipal administration is in Cala . Mayor is Buyiswa Ntsere.

The community name is an isiXhosa term for "we are building the nation".

In 2011 the community had 63,582 inhabitants. Of these, 97.7% were black and 1.1% white. First language was 91.3% IsiXhosa , 2.7% English and 1.8% Afrikaans.
