Ioanna Koutsou ( Greek Ιωάννα Κουτσού , born November 23, 1986 ) is a Greek Taekwondoin . It starts in the lightest weight class up to 46 kilograms.

Koutsou played her first international title fights at the Junior World Championships in 2002 in Heraklion , where she reached the second round. The following year she became Junior European Champion in Athens in the class up to 44 kilograms. Koutsou made his adult debut at the 2005 World Cup in Madrid , but retired early. She won her first adult medal at the 2006 European Championships in Bonn . She made it to the semi-finals and won bronze. In the following years there were no further international successes. However, Koutsou was able to achieve her greatest sporting success so far at the 2012 European Championships in Manchester . In the class up to 46 kilograms, she beat Rukiye Yıldırım in the semifinals by a judge's decision after it was a draw at the end of the fight. In the final she was able to defeat Elaia Torrontegui and become European champion for the first time.

Koutsou started for the Taekwondo Elite association in Nuremberg for a long time . She has lived in Thessaloniki since 2008 and has been active for the AS Danaos association ever since . She studies sports science.
