Ipomoea chiriquensis is a plant type from the genus of Morningglory ( Ipomoea ) from the family of wind plants (Convolvulaceae). The species is common in America .
description
Ipomoea chiriquensis is an herbaceous , hairless climber . The leaf blades are ovate-heart-shaped, 10 to 19 cm long, membranous, heart-shaped at the base and pointed towards the front.
The inflorescences are cymes of two to six flowers . The sepals are unevenly shaped, the outer ones are elongated-lanceolate, 6 to 7 mm long and pointed; the inner ones are oval to broadly ovate, 12 to 14 mm long and briefly spiky. The crown is colored white and 5 cm long, the crown hem is 8 cm wide.

The species is only known from a few collections from Panama .
Systematics
Within the genus of morning glories ( Ipomoea ), the species is classified in the Tricolor section in the subgenus Quamoclit .
