Irina Brandstetter , formerly Irina Ananewa (born February 5, 1966 in Tula , Russia , then USSR ) is a former Russian, later Austrian volleyball player and coach.

biography

After attending middle school, she completed her business studies with a master's degree. In addition, she was a player from Uralochka Sverdlovsk and a member of the Soviet national volleyball team "Master of Sports in the USSR". Later she went to Austria, where she completed more than 100 missions as a player and captain in the Austrian national team . B. won the spring cup. She is a nine-time cup winner and Austrian state champion in the hall. She was twice in the European Cup finals.

She started her coaching career in mid-2003 and also won a championship title as assistant coach of the (men's team) hotVolleys . In addition, she started a career in beach volleyball in 2003 (partners: Christine Mellitzer [2003] and Annabelle Borchard [2004]); In doing so, she also achieved some notable successes, including the state championship victory in 2003, the overall Masters victory in 2003 and 2nd place in the 2004 Masters Tour.

Her nickname is "Iri". She speaks German, Russian and Polish and understands almost all other Slavic languages.
