Iris Bohnau

Iris Bohnau (* 1948 ) is a former German actress . She has been called Iris Vogel since her marriage to director Frank Vogel .

Life

Bohnau appeared in East German television productions from the late 1960s. She celebrated her first success in 1972 with her role in the television film The Man and the Girl . During the filming, she met the director Frank Vogel , whom she later married. The marriage produced a daughter. Her husband died in 1999.

Her last role was in 1990 in Police Call 110: Death by Electric Current . She then stopped working as an actress and began training as a physiotherapist at the age of 42 . She worked for 15 years at the German Heart Center Berlin , where she headed the physiotherapy department for 12 years. In 2009 she retired.
