Irma Hartje-Leudesdorff

Irma Hartje-Leudesdorff (born September 30, 1881 as Irma Leudesdorff in Elberfeld , † June 18, 1958 in Hameln ) was a German painter and writer .

Life

Irma Hartje-Leudesdorff was the daughter of a businessman . She attended the arts and crafts school in Elberfeld and completed an apprenticeship in the context of the Düsseldorf Art Academy . She received private lessons from the landscape and genre painter Paul Brandenburg . She lived as a freelance painter and writer in Wuppertal . In 1943, most of their artistic work was destroyed in an air raid on Wuppertal . She spent the last years of her life in Hameln . In addition to her work as a visual artist , Irma Hartje-Leudesdorff also wrote lyrical works.
