Irma P. Hall

Irma P. Hall (* 3. June 1935 in Beaumont , Texas ; as Irma Dolores Player Hall ) is an American actress .

First she was a teacher and taught foreign languages ​​and English in Dallas for many years . It wasn't until she was 36 that she became an actress, and only by accident. She was seen at a reading by actor and director Raymond St. Jacques , who was making a film in town, and was offered a role in his film Book of Numbers . For her work in Ladykillers , directed by the Coen brothers , she was awarded the jury prize at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival .
