Irma Viktorovna Kudrova

Irma Wiktorowna Kudrowa ( Russian Ирма Викторовна Кудрова ; born October 25, 1929 ) is a Russian philologist and literary scholar who researched the life and work of Marina Ivanovna Tsvetaeva .

Life

During the Leningrad blockade , Kudrowa's family had been evacuated to Siberia . In the autumn of 1944 the family returned to Leningrad . Kudrowa graduated from the philological faculty of Leningrad University . In 1952 she began postgraduate at Pushkin -House, the Institute of Russian Literature (IRLI) and worked as a leader in the Literature Museum. In 1956 she took part in the work of the historian Viktor Leonidowitsch Scheinis , who wrote a critical essay on the Soviet invasion of Hungary . She was then repeatedly interrogated by the Leningrad KGB and excluded from aspirantation.

1964-1977 was Kudrowa editor of the Leningrad literary magazine Zvezda (Star). 1977–1981 she was editor of the art magazine Iskusstwo ( art ). During this time she got to know the work of Marina Tsvetaeva, whereupon she studied the work and life of the poet intensively and worked out her biography . Her first book Wersty, Dali .... ( Wersten , Weiten ...) appeared in 1991 before the international congress on Tsvetaeva's 100th birthday in 1992. Other books on Tsvetaeva's life and work appeared in the following years. Her diverse publications reflect her broad field of work.
