Irmintraut Richarz

Irmintraut Richarz (born March 13, 1927 in Suhl ; † April 10, 2012 in Münster ) was a German budget scientist and professor . She was the first director of the Institute for Household Science and Household Didactics in the Department of Chemistry at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster.

Richarz was initially a teacher in rural domestic schools for several years and then studied agricultural sciences , then social sciences and education at the University of Göttingen . In 1969, the promotion of Doctor of Social Sciences and a year later she was on the newly established chair for Housekeepingscience at the University of Education Westphalia-Lippe , Münster department. After their integration into the University of Münster, in 1980 she became director of the Institute for Household Science and Household Didactics . She retired in 1992. On March 5, 2010, she was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit in Münster for her many years of scientific research.
