Irving Louis Horowitz

Irving Louis Horowitz (born September 25, 1929 in New York , † March 21, 2012 in Princeton (New Jersey) ) was an American sociologist. From 1962 to 1969 he was Professor of Sociology at Washington University in St. Louis . From 1969 until his retirement he held the Hannah Arendt Professorship for Sociology and Political Science at Rutgers University in New Jersey .
