Iryna Volodymyrivna Tschunychowska ( Ukrainian Ірина Володимирівна Чуниховська , born July 16, 1967 ) is a former Soviet sailor from Ukraine .
successes
Iryna Tschunychowska took part in the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul in the 470 dinghy . Together with Laryssa Moskalenko , she finished third with 45.4 points overall, behind the Americans Allison Jolly and Lynne Jewell and Marit Söderström and Birgitta Bengtsson from Sweden. Seventh place in the last race secured them the bronze medal, because if they had a worse result than eighth place they would have fallen behind the Finnish boat.
