successes
Laryssa Moskalenko took twice in the 470 dinghy at the Olympic Games in part. At the 1988 Games in Seoul , she and Iryna Tschunychowska finished third with 45.4 total points behind the Americans Allison Jolly and Lynne Jewell and Marit Söderström and Birgitta Bengtsson from Sweden. Seventh place in the last race secured them the bronze medal, because if they had a worse result than eighth place they would have fallen behind the Finnish boat. In 1992 she joined the United Team at the side of Olena Pacholtschyk , with whom she narrowly missed another medal win as fourth. The year before, she was vice world champion with Pacholtschyk in Brisbane .
