Isabelle Dedieu
Isabelle Dedieu (born April 20, 1956 in Paris ) is a French film editor .
Life
Isabelle Dedieu began her film career in 1981 as assistant editor for Joëlle Hache and Noëlle Boisson . She worked under directors such as Alain Cavalier and Patrice Leconte . Under the direction of Cavalier, she produced her first independent editing work in 1986 with the film drama Thérèse , for which she promptly received a César in the category of best editing . She received the Genie Award for editing Denys Arcand's Oscar- nominated film Jesus von Montreal (1989), a Canadian-French co-production .
Dedieu was then used in other internationally co-produced films, including the British-French historical film Pesthauch des Böse (1993), in which Colin Firth and Ian Holm played the leading roles. 2003 followed with the invasion of the barbarians another work for Denys Arcand, which brought Dedieu nominations for the Genie Award and the Prix Jutra . She has also worked several times under the direction of Francis Girod , such as The Pact of Vengeance (1998) and A Perfect Friend (2006). She edited the comedy film Nouvelle chance (2006) with Danielle Darrieux for director Anne Fontaine . Other joint films with Denys Arcand were the fantasy comedy L'Âge des ténèbres (2007) with Diane Kruger and the love drama Le Règne de la beauté (2014) with Mélanie Thierry and Marie-Josée Croze, set in Canada .
Since the 2000s, Dedieu has also been active in French television, such as in 2006 in the four-part miniseries Agatha Christie: Invitation to Murder and in 2008 in two episodes of the time of Louis XV. playing television series Nicolas Le Floch .
