Isabelle Wildhaber

Isabelle Wildhaber (born May 19, 1973 in Bern ) is a Swiss lawyer and professor . She teaches private and commercial law at the University of St. Gallen .

Life

childhood and education

Isabelle Wildhaber was born in May 1973 as the daughter of the Swiss lawyer Luzius Wildhaber and the academic Simone Wildhaber-Creux .

From 1991 to 1996 Wildhaber studied law at the Universities of Basel and Geneva and received his doctorate with summa cum laude . In 1998 she was admitted to the Swiss bar in the canton of Basel-Stadt . From 1998 to 1999 Wildhaber did his doctorate at the University of Basel with summa cum laude under Ernst A. Kramer on the subject of " Product Liability in Genetic Engineering Law - A Comparative Legal Study".

Professional career

In 1999 and 2000, Wildhaber worked as a lawyer at Vischer AG in Basel . From 2000 to 2001 she obtained an LL.M. at Harvard Law School . In 2001 she was admitted as attorney-at-law in New York . Between 2006 and 2010 , Wildhaber completed his habilitation at the Humboldt University in Berlin .

On August 1, 2010, she became assistant professor for labor and liability law at the University of St. Gallen . In spring 2011 she received the instructor for private and business law at the University of Zurich . Since August 1, 2015, Wildhaber has been a professor for private and commercial law, with particular emphasis on labor law, at the University of St. Gallen.

Private life

Wildhaber is married to a Berlin chief physician for cardiology , has three children and lives in Berlin . Her older sister Anne Wildhaber (* 1968) is also a lawyer.
