Isgrew borders on the Slavicov district in the west with the boulevard Stefan Stambolow . In the east Izgrev adjacent to the Boulevard Dimitar Dimov at the park Eseroto, the southern Lake Atanasovsko and the salt pans . In the south Izgrev adjacent to the Boulevard Nikola Petkov to the municipality Sorniza . In a north-westerly direction along the exit road to Burgas Airport and Varna is the city cemetery. In the middle of the Isgrew district is the Weleka Park, where the Isgrew sports facility was inaugurated in 2010 .

The current quarter was created in the 17th century when Greek fishermen settled from nearby Anchialos . When the place expanded and grew into a small fishing village, it was called Atanasköi (later Atanasowo). The population made their livelihoods mainly from fishing and growing grain. In 1909 the Tschitalischte Isgrew was founded. In the 1960s, the former village was incorporated as a district in the city of Burgas.

In recent years, the district has been expanding towards the west, where new shopping centers and business parks are emerging. There are branches of large retail chains and the two large shopping centers, Burgas Plaza and The Strand .

The three schools St. Kliment von Ohrid (elementary school; founded in 1884), Jordan Jowkow and Dobri Tschuntolow are located in the Isgrew district . There is also the chemistry high school and the Life Hospital clinic .
