Sorniza (Burgas)

Sorniza (also written Zornitsa , Bulgarian Зорница ) is a district of the Bulgarian port city of Burgas . With around 15,000 residents (as of 2009), the district is one of the smallest in the city.

Sornitsa borders on the Slavykov district and Isgrew Park in the west with the boulevard Stefan Stambolow . In the east Sornitsa borders with the boulevard Dimitar Dimow on the park Eseroto, the sea ​​garden of Burgas and the southern Atanasow lake . The city beach is also nearby. In the south, Sornitsa borders the disused railway line Burgas- Pomorie on the Lasur district and the stadium of the same name . In the north it borders the Isgrew district with the Nikola Petkow boulevard .

The Sorniza district is home to the German Goethe-Gymnasium Burgas school , the English-speaking Geo Milew grammar school , the Georgi Benkowski elementary school , the first urban hospital (the largest in south-east Bulgaria), the psychiatry and the Isgrew sports hall .
