Ishøj is a town with 20,826 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) on the Danish island of Zealand . The city is located in the parish of the same name ( Ishøj Sogn ), which until 1970 belonged to Harde Smørum Herred in what was then the Copenhagen office . With the dissolution of the Harden structure, the parish was included in the municipality of Ishøj , which remained unchanged with the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 , but has been part of the Hovedstaden region since then .
