Location of Ishøj Sogn in Ishøj Municipality |
Ishøj Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in Ishøj Kommune in the suburbs of the Danish capital Copenhagen . In addition to the city of Ishøj , the town of Ishøj Landsby also belongs to it .
Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Smørum Herred in what was then København's office . With the dissolution of the Harden structure, the parish was merged with the neighboring Torslunde Sogn to the west to form Ishøj Kommune in the "new" Københavns office ; this remained unchanged with the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 , but has belonged to the Hovedstaden region since then .
In the 1990s Ishøj Sogn was the most populous Sogn in Denmark, until it was replaced by Glostrup Sogn in 2001 . On January 1, 2020, 22,191 inhabitants lived in the parish. In the area of the parish are the "Ishøj Kirke" and the "Vejleå Kirke".
