Ismaël Ferroukhi

Ismaël Ferroukhi (born June 26, 1962 in Kenitra , Morocco ) is a French-Moroccan film director and screenwriter .

life and work

Ferroukhi was born in Morocco in 1962 and grew up in a small town in the south of France. In 1993 he made the short film L'exposé , with which he received the Prix SACD and the Prix Kodak for the best short film in Cannes and also won over the audience and jury at the national film festival in Tangier (Morocco). A second short film, L'inconnu , was made in 1996; one of the actors was Catherine Deneuve . Ismaël Ferroukhi has also worked as a screenplay co-writer for three films by Cédric Kahn : Trop de bonheur (1994), Culpabilité zéro (1996) and L'Avion - The Magic Airplane (2005). He also worked as a television producer.
