The 1998/99 season was the sixth season of the Israeli Ice Hockey League , the highest Israeli ice hockey league . Champion was the first time in club history at all of HC Metulla .
Top scorer was Dima Putilov with 24 points, including 15 goals, from HC Maccabi Amos Lod . Master HC Metulla's left winger Eduard Revniaga was voted the most valuable player .

In the main round, each of the four teams played a total of six games. All four teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
