The 2008/09 season was the 16th season of the Israeli Ice Hockey League , the highest Israeli ice hockey league . Champion was the first time in club history at all of HC Herzlia .

Participant and mode

The season began on October 31, 2008 and ended on March 27, 2009. The field of participants was expanded by two teams: Maccabi Metulla and Ice Time Herzlia .

First, a main round with seven games per team was played. This was followed by the play-offs, in which all eight teams took part.
