István Bujtor

István Bujtor (born May 5, 1942 in Budapest ; † September 25, 2009 there ) was a Hungarian actor .

Bujtor graduated from the Budapest School of Economics in 1966. In 1963 he was discovered by director Félix Máriássy for a film. Then he turned to the art of acting, took lessons, first appeared in Győr and at the National Theater in Pécs and came to Budapest in 1975, where he was engaged at the comedy and literary theater until 1977. István Bujtor has been a member of Mafilm's cast of actors since 1978.

In the eighties he wrote the scenarios for the films A pogány Madonna ( The pagan Madonna , 1981) and Csak semmi pánik… ( Don't panic , 1982). Bujtor also filmed in the GDR and the ČSSR . In 1979 he played the leading role in the title in the multi-part European TV co-production Mathias Sandorf based on Jules Verne . He was the voice of Bud Spencer in the Hungarian translation of his films. He was a Béla Balázs Prize winner.

In his native Hungary, István Bujtor was born in 1978 for the lead role in the feature film BUÉK! ( Happy New Year! ) Awarded Best Male Actor.

Private life

The 1.93 m tall Hungarian was also active in sports. Motorboat racing and sport sailing were popular activities of the actor. In 1972 he was even nominated for the Hungarian Olympic sailing team. He was married to Eszter Perényi and had a son (Balázs) and a daughter (Anna). He was the brother of the rock bassist Károly Frenreisz and the stepbrother of the actor Zoltán Latinovits .
