István Molnár (born January 5, 1913 in Galanta , Hungary (now Slovakia ), † July 1, 1983 in Budapest ) was a Hungarian water polo player with Ferencváros Budapest (from 1932) and Vasas Budapest (from 1945).

Molnár took part in the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, where he was used in the group game against Malta, which was won 12-0, but did not throw a goal. Hungary still qualified for the final round, in which Molnár was also not used. After a 5-0 win against France, a 2-2 draw was enough for the Hungarian national team, including teammates György Bródy , Kálmán Hazai , Olivér Halassy , Márton Homonnay , Jenő Brandi , János Németh , Mihály Bozsi , György Kutasi , Sándor Tarics and Miklós Sárkány who could win the gold medal.
