It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World is a song by Ernest Gold (music) and Mack David (lyrics) that was released in 1963.

Ernest Gold and Mack David wrote It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World for the film Eine Total, Total Verrückte Welt (Original title It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad World , 1963) directed by Stanley Kramer , with Spencer Tracy , Milton Berle and Sid Caesar in the leading roles. The film song, which is presented in the film by a studio orchestra with choir, received an Oscar nomination in 1964 in the category of best song .

The film song, recorded with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, appeared on the soundtrack LP of the same title by Ernest Gold ( United Artists Records UAS 5110); further cover versions of the film song took u. a. the Nelson Riddle Orchestra (Reprise 20.230), The Shirelles (on their LP of the same name), Joe Sherman (World Artists 1019) and the Lionel Newman Orchestra & Chorus. James Brown changed the title of his song Man's World to It's a Man's Man's Man's World (1966) based on the model of the movie song .
