The Itschew Nunatak ( Bulgarian Ичев нунатак Itschew nunatak ) is a rocky and 1800 m high nunatak in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises 4.83 km north of Mount Klayn , 12.88 km southeast of Ereta Peak and 15.42 km west of Mount Slaughter on the northwest edge of the Nimitz Glacier . Its steep north and south-west slopes are partly not icy. The upper section of the Nimitz Glacier lies southeast of it.
American scientists mapped it in 1961 and 1988. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2014 after the Bulgarian geologist and construction worker Milan Itschew, who was active in several campaigns at the St. Kliment-Ohridski station from 2000 onwards.
