Iván Piris , full name Iván Rodrigo Piris Leguizamón , (born March 10, 1989 in Itauguá ) is a Paraguayan football player .

Career

society

Defensive player Piris played in his youth for Las Águilas Verdes, 11 Estrellas de Itauguá, 12 de Octubre de Itauguá, Escuela de fútbol de Pinozá and Cerro Porteño. At the beginning of his professional career, he was in the ranks of Cerro Porteño since 2008 . For the club from Asunción he played a total of 52 top division games in 2010 and 2011. In the Copa Sudamericana competitions in 2009 and 2010 and in the Copa Libertadores in 2010 and 2011, he played in seven and 20 games respectively and scored one goal in the latter competition. In July 2011, a group of investors initially acquired the transfer rights for around three million US dollars and placed the player with the Uruguayan club Deportivo Maldonado . From there, Piris was immediately passed on to São Paulo FC via a two-year loan deal . For the Brazilians, he completed 20 games (one goal) in Série A and 16 games (no goal) in the Campeonato Paulista . He also made four personally goalless appearances in the 2011 Copa Sudamericana . From August 2012 a loan to AS Roma followed . From September 2013, Sporting Lisbon was his employer. At the Portuguese club he was used both in the first team and in the second representation. From August 2014 Deportivo Maldonado awarded Piris to Udinese Calcio . After 58 matches in Serie A across all seasons , he moved to CF Monterrey in Mexico in mid-July 2016 . There he played in fifteen first division games (no goal) before he was awarded to league rivals Club León for a year in the summer of 2017 .

National team

Piris first played for the Paraguay U-20 national team, for which he completed a total of 15 games. On July 3, 2011, he made his debut for the senior national team of Paraguay in a 0-0 draw against Ecuador at the Copa America 2011 , where Piris and Paraguay only failed in the final against Uruguay . So far (as of September 10, 2016) he is said to have completed 23 full international matches.
