Ivan Khadschienov
Ivan Nikolow Chadschienow (also spelled Ivan Nikolow Chandzenov , Bulgarian Иван Николов Хаджиенов ; * 1843 in Kazanlak ; † January 21, 1923 ) was a Bulgarian merchant, and between 1881 and 1883 mayor of Sofia .
biography
Ivan Chadschienow was in 1843 in the Balkan Mountains situated Ottoman city Kazanlak born. In 1848 his parents died and he was sent to the Romanian capital Bucharest , where he grew up in the family of an uncle. His uncle was a respected businessman in Bucharest. At this time, his cousin Ivan Adschenow , who later became a revolutionary and journalist, was growing up in the Romanian capital.
Ivan Chadschienow later worked for French construction companies in Romania and France . After the liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman rule in 1878, the adult Chadschienow returned to Bulgaria and became a politician of the Conservative Party . During the regime of powers of attorney , he became mayor of the Bulgarian capital Sofia. The construction of the Borissowa gradina falls within his mandate .
