Ivan Fyodorowitsch Kodatski

Ivan Fedorovich Kodazki ( Russian Иван Фёдорович Кодацкий * June 19 . Jul / 1. July  1893 greg. In Nikolayev , Kherson Gubernia ; † the thirtieth October 1937 in Moscow ) was a Soviet statesman and functionary of the CPSU .

Life

After attending a parish school, the worker's son Ivan became an apprentice in a printing company, graduated from commercial school and then worked as a lathe operator at the Nikolayev shipyard . He went to Petrograd in 1914 , worked there in the engineering factories Nowy Lessner ( Russian: Новый Лесснер ), Nobel and Phoenix, took part in strikes and did party work for the RSDLP . Since 1915 Iwan Kodazki was a member of the Vyborg District Committee of the RSDLP. At the beginning of 1917 he was imprisoned for a month and was elected to the Petrograd Soviet and the Vyborg District Duma after the February Revolution . Ivan Kodazki took part in the preparation of the October Revolution and was then one of the functionaries of the Soviet power: 1917-1918 he was secretary in the Ministry of Labor of the RSFSR . 1922–1928 Iwan Kodazki headed the party organizations of some Petrograd districts. In 1928 he became chairman of the Leningrad National Economic Council. Since 1930, Ivan Kodazki was one of Kirov's closest confidants .

In 1937 he was head of the light engineering department in the People's Commissariat for Heavy Industry.

Ivan Kodazki was arrested on June 28, 1937, sentenced to death on October 29, 1937, and executed the following day.

On March 14, 1956 - during the Khrushchev thaw - Ivan Kodatsky was posthumously rehabilitated.

  • Member of the Presidium of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee ,
  • Member of the Central Executive Committee of the USSR.

Honors

  • 1987-1993 a street was named after Ivan Kodazki in the St. Petersburg district of Nevsky.
