Ján Ďurica (born December 10, 1981 in Dunajská Streda ) is a Slovak football player .
Career
Ďurica comes from a footballing family, his father Ján sr. and his brother Pavola have also played for DAC Dunajská Streda and all three have scored goals for the team.
From Dunajská Streda to Artmedia
The defender moved to Artmedia Bratislava in 2003 after three second division seasons from DAC Dunajská Streda . Ďurica was a regular at Artmedia for three years and became Slovakian champion with the club in 2005 . In the winter break of the 2005/06 season, after 78 first division games and six appearances in the 2005/06 Champions League , for which Artmedia surprisingly qualified after victories over Kairat Almaty , Celtic Glasgow and FK Partizan Belgrade , he moved to the Russian first division club Saturn Ramenskoje .
Moscow and Hanover 96 locomotives
In the summer of 2009 Ďurica moved to Lokomotiv Moscow , from where he moved to the German Bundesliga club Hannover 96 on loan until the end of the season during the winter break of the 2009/10 season. There he could not earn a regular place, which is why Ďurica returned to his home club after the loan expired.
Trabzonspor
In the summer of 2016, the Turkish first division club Trabzonspor signed him .
National team
Ďurica has been a Slovak national player since 2004 . He took part in the 2010 World Cup and made it to the round of 16 with his team, where they failed 2-1 against the Netherlands . On the way there, the Slovaks eliminated the defending champion Italy from the competition in the preliminary round .
At the European Football Championship in France in 2016 , he was included in the Slovak squad. He was part of the team and played all four games over the full season until he was eliminated against Germany in the round of 16.
