Jérémy Gagnon-Laparé (born May 9, 1995 in Sherbrooke , Québec ) is a Canadian football player . He has played for Montreal Impact in Major League Soccer since 2014 .

Career

Gagnon-Laparé joined the Montreal Impact Academy, the Montreal Impact youth and development system, in 2011. In 2014 he played for the U-23 team in the USL Premier Development League and made his debut for the first team on May 7, 2014 in the Canadian Championship game against FC Edmonton .

He signed his first contract as a professional footballer on July 3, 2014. He made his debut in Major League Soccer on July 24, 2014.

By the end of 2016, Gagnon-Laparé played in seven league games for Montreal Impact. At the end of the 2016 season , his contract was not extended. He then moved to AS Vitré , an amateur club in France that participates in the Championnat de France Amateur .

National team

From 2012 to 2013 Gagnon-Laparé was twice for the U-18 selection of Canada on the field.

On August 27, 2013 he was nominated for two friendly matches for the Canadian senior team . In the first game on September 8, 2013 against Mauritania , he made his debut for the national team.

In 2014 and 2015 he also played for the Canadian U-20 selection . In total, he was here six times. He has also been used several times for the U-23 selection since 2015.
