Jérémy Ménez (born May 7, 1987 in Longjumeau ) is a French football player . The attacking midfielder has been under contract with French second division Paris FC since October 2019 .

Career

society

Ménez comes from the talent factory of FC Sochaux . For this he was active between 2004 and 2006 before moving to AS Monaco in the summer of 2006 . For Sochaux he was able to score a total of seven goals in 55 games. Monaco transferred € 3.5 million for a change of club and provided him with a contract until 2010. Menez made 27 appearances this season, but could only score three goals. He is the youngest hat-trick scorer in Ligue 1 and the youngest player of the month in the French elite class.

He moved to the top Italian club AS Roma on August 28, 2008 . The transfer fee was around 14 million euros . Around 10% of this goes to FC Sochaux, as this was contractually agreed. He signed with the Italian capital club for four years. In July 2011, Ménez returned to France and signed a contract with first division club Paris Saint-Germain .

National team

With the U-17, Ménez became European champion in 2004. He was a U-21 national player in his country and has also played a game for France's B national team. In January 2008 he was appointed to the senior squad for the first time by Raymond Domenech , but was not used. From 2010 Domenech successor Laurent Blanc called him more regularly, and Jérémy Ménez was also in the French team at the 2012 European Championship .
