Jérôme Gosset

Jérôme Gosset (born June 7, 1979 in Sambreville , Belgium ) is a Belgian dancer and choreographer .

Life

He studied at the Royal Ballet School of Flanders in Antwerp and began his dance career in 1998 at the Nuremberg Opera House under the direction of Daniela Kurz . After two years with the ensemble of the Staatstheater Kassel and another five years with the Mainfrankentheater Würzburg , he has been working as a freelancer since 2007. Since then his activities have taken him to the Tyrolean State Theater Innsbruck , the State Theater Nuremberg , the City Theater Fürth and the City Theater Nordhausen .

During his career he worked a. a. as a soloist with the choreographers Birgit Scherzer (M1 in Requiem !! ), Youri Vamos (Swan in Carmina Burana ), Hans Henning Paar (Pater Lorenzo in Romeo and Juliet ), Ralf Dörnen, Fernanda Guimaraes (Theodoro in Dona Flor and her two husbands , Tonico in Gabriella ). In 2009 he danced Auguste Rodin in Jutta Wörne's ballet Camille Claudel, sculptor. at the Nordhausen Theater.

He presented his first own choreography in 2004 as part of a Young Choreographer Evening at the Mainfrankentheater Würzburg. Since his freelance work, he has also increasingly worked as a choreographer and trainer. In March 2009, he assisted Royston Maldoom in his “Introduction to Dance” workshop in Würzburg and developed one of the four choreographies for the j.unior k.ompanie w.ürzburg, which was also premiered in March 2009 at the tanzSpeicher Würzburg .

In 2010, as a dancer and co-choreographer, he played a key role in the successful productions Borderlines by the Konstantin Tsakalidis company and in And so what! , a dance-in-schools project with 60 young people and the Hessischer Rundfunk big band .

As a founding member of the "Runder Tisch Tanz Würzburg / Mainfranken eV" association, he co-organized the dance festival Würzburg tanzt! that took place in July 2011.
