Jörg Austen (born September 28, 1934 ; †  August 16, 2015 in Weissach ) was a German engineer and non-fiction author .

Austen was a graduate engineer. (FH) and worked in transmission development and later in technical documentation at Porsche .

From 1975 until he retired, Austen took care of training, troubleshooting and literature in the Porsche customer service department. Since then he has worked as a driving instructor and carer for foreign guests for Porsche. He wrote several books about the Porsche 924 , Porsche 944 , Porsche 968 and Porsche 928 as well as the Porsche 911 . Austen lived in Weissach .
