Jörg Auzinger (born March 29, 1972 in Linz , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian media artist .

Life

Auzinger studied visual media design ( vismed ) at the University of Applied Arts Vienna under Peter Weibel , and film directing at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna under Axel Corti .

In his artistic work, Auzinger deals with the socio-political aspects of a technology-based communication society. As a student of Peter Weibel and Richard Kriesche , Jörg Auzinger is regarded as a representative of media art with a concise visual language that is based on a comprehensive theoretical discussion. Jörg Auzinger's interactive installations, which often involve the viewer in the action, as well as his photographic works can be seen in exhibitions.
