Jörg Bobsin

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jörg Bobsin (born October 18, 1938 in Berlin ) is a German author, director and producer of radio plays for children, who also became known for journalistic publications, books about celebrities and invented interviews.

Life

In the 1960s, Bobsin first made a name for himself with adaptations of children's radio plays, including the novels Pippi Longstocking and Karlsson vom Dach by Astrid Lindgren . As a tabloid journalist and book author, he also wrote articles about celebrities, including the pop singer Udo Juergens and the American lawyer Melvin Belli . As a television director and producer, he worked, among other things, on the films A Trip to Romanticism (1959) and Attractions for 3 Groschen (1969), and he also created several celebrity portraits for Bayerischer Rundfunk .

At times Bobsin also worked as an agent for models and founded the agency The Girls together with Wolfgang Schwarz in 1974 .

Alleged interviews

In 2010, Bobsin hit the headlines when an interview he allegedly conducted with Michael Douglas was published in various German newspapers of the DuMont Schauberg publishing group . A spokesman for the actor made it clear that this interview never took place. Bobsin then admitted that he did not conduct this interview himself, but that he took it over from an Internet service. The publisher apologized and parted with Bobsin. It is questionable whether this interview ever existed. A spokesman for Douglas said the actor only did one interview with another magazine during that time .

In 2018 the Verlag der Freizeitwoche published a correction in which a series of interviews that Bobsin claimed to have conducted with US actress Sandra Bullock between 2007 and 2016 were described as "incorrect". Bullock had taken legal action against the magazine.

The German-speaking media remembered the Tom Kummer case , which caused a media scandal with fake interviews with Hollywood stars.
