Jörg Dobritz

Jörg Dobritz (born July 30, 1966 ) was a football player in the GDR Oberliga , the top division of the GDR football association . There he played for 1. FC Magdeburg and Stahl Eisenhüttenstadt .

Athletic career

In the youth teams of the small Magdeburg company sports clubMotor Süd began Dobritz's football career before moving to Magdeburg's top club 1. FC Magdeburg in the summer of 1985. He had previously completed his vocational training as a system fitter with a high school diploma. For the 1986/87 season, the 1.81 m tall defender was included in the club's league squad, but played only two point games for the first team. In the league, the then 20-year-old footballer made his debut on April 11, 1987 in the 1: 2 away defeat against FC Carl Zeiss Jena. In the following season Dobritz was only used in five league games. In the first series of the 1988/89 season Dobritz was used in the first seven league league games, but was only a substitute except for the 1st game day and only averaged 43 minutes per game. Thereupon the Dobritz project at FCM was practically over and he was allowed to go to second class in October 1988BSG Motor Schönebeck change where his former teammate Wolfgang Steinbach already played.

In the following summer Dobritz moved again - this time to the league promoted Stahl Eisenhüttenstadt. But even there Dobritz was not up to the elite class. It was not until the 11th match day that he was used for the first time in the Oberliga team of Eisenhüttenstadt, and during the 1989/90 season he only made eleven league appearances. Then Dobritz returned to 1. FC Magdeburg. He played in the last independent season of East German first division football in the NOFV Oberliga , in which the teams were able to qualify for the 1st or 2nd Bundesliga in the context of the introduction of the DFB game operations in the territory of the former GDR - or the way into the third-rate amateur league had to go. Dobritz played eight point games and the 1. FCM did not make the leap directly into professional football or via relegation to league 2 . Of the four European Cup games Magdeburg played in the 1990/91 UEFA Cup , Dobritz played the two games against Girodins Bordeaux. At the end of 1991 Dobritz left the FCM. Nothing more is known about his further career as a footballer.
