Jörg Weber (soccer player, 1965)

Jörg Weber (born August 28, 1965 in Detmold ) is a German educator, as well as a former soccer player and trainer.

Player and coach

Jörg Weber started his career at SuS Pivitsheide and switched to Arminia Bielefeld in 1980. From 1983 and 1985 he played a total of four times for Arminia Bielefeld in the first Bundesliga , but could not score a goal. After that, the striker Weber played for the East Westphalian clubs SC Verl , TuS Paderborn-Neuhaus , FC Gütersloh and SuS Lage , before he took over his first coaching position for the second team in 1996 at what was then TuS Paderborn-Neuhaus, which he joined the state league in 2000 led.

After four seasons, Jörg Weber moved to the regional division SC Verl, where he stayed for a total of two years. Jörg Weber was coach of Arminia Bielefeld's second team on July 1, 2006, via the upper division VfB Fichte Bielefeld (2004/05) and FC Gütersloh 2000 (2005/06), which he remained until February 2007.

On February 13, 2007, Jörg Weber occupied the position of assistant coach for Arminia Bielefeld's first team. He became the successor of Frank Geideck, who had been promoted to head coach . Weber should initially hold the position until the end of the 2006/07 season. In the 2007/08 season Weber was again coach of the second team of the Bundesliga club, and he continued to work with Frank Geideck and Frank Eulberg in the first team's assistant coaching staff. However, he gave up this activity a little later due to his activity as a teacher and limited himself to the position of chief scout, which he held from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2011.

Pedagogical career

In addition to his career as a player and coach, Weber completed a teacher training course. As part of his teaching activities, he was initially deputy headmaster of the Hanse vocational college in Lemgo . In February 2012 Weber took over the management of the Carl Severing Vocational College, the largest vocational college in Bielefeld.
