Jörg Wischmeier (born August 16, 1935 in Dortmund ; † October 3, 2012 in Korschenbroich ) was a German triple jumper .

biography

Wischmeier was German triple jump champion in 1959 and won the silver medal at the German championships the following year , as in 1958 .

At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 he did not manage to qualify for the final in the triple jump and finished in 20th place.

A year later he was again German champion .

In 1993, the trained typesetter was awarded the silver DLV needle.
