The Prior Bluff is a rock cliff in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . It looms between Manning and Greenall Glaciers in the center of the Mawson Escarpment .

Aerial photographs of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions from 1956, 1960 and 1973 were used for mapping. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it in 1973 after the geologist and geophysicist Lancelot Sidney Prior (1913-1984), who worked for the Bureau of Mineral Resources, Geology and Geophysics from 1948 to 1974 .
