Pure Gaar

Reiner Gaar (* 1958 in Schwabach ) is a German composer , church music director and lecturer at the universities of music in Bayreuth and Würzburg .

Life

Reiner Gaar studied church music a . a. with Zsolt Gárdonyi , Julian von Károlyi and Marta Sosińska in Bayreuth and Würzburg. He then followed organ and improvisation studies with Günther Kaunzinger and Daniel Roth and attended master classes. In 1981 he won the first prize in the competition for church music training centers in Germany. He participated in the commission for the creation of the Evangelical Hymnal . He is the church music director of the Castell dean's office and is the examiner for the Ansbach-Würzburg church district .

Gaar is the author of numerous compositions for organ, brass and other instruments. He wrote a textbook on organ improvisation.
