Jörn-Peter Dirx (* 1947 in Bremen ) is a German painter and author of children's books.

Life

After completing an apprenticeship as a painter, Dirx began studying at the University of the Arts in Bremen in 1968 and, in addition, studying at the Düsseldorf Art Academy under Joseph Beuys in 1970 . In 1973 he got his degree as a designer and was a master student at Karl Heinrich Greune (KH Greune).

Dirx writes poetry, short stories, radio plays, plays and novels and deals with painting, wall painting, art actions and book illustrations.

In his first children's novel, Alles Rainer Zufall , published in 1987, there are numerous word and language games that show his admiration for the English children's author Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland and his fairy novel Sylvie and Bruno .
