Former Jewish school on Badersgasse, now a residential building

The Jewish elementary school in Berwangen , a district of the Kirchardt community in the Heilbronn district in northern Baden-Württemberg , was an elementary school maintained by the Berwangen Jewish community . The Baden Jewish edict of 1809 allowed the Jewish communities to build their own schools, provided they covered the costs.

The school was on Badersgasse next to the synagogue built in 1845.

The Jewish elementary schools were dissolved with the introduction of simultaneous schools in the Grand Duchy of Baden in 1876. The Jewish school in Berwangen was continued as a religious school until the 1920s.
